After a long hiatus, N’Deye is back with a new project celebrating the African diasporas all over the world and building a bridge between them.
With its blend of her trademark Afropop, Afrozouk and Reggae, this new EP aptly titled “Afrolicious” is a tribute to all the Afro descendants. The lead single “Afrolicious” is a Jacob Desvarieux produced sultry zouk laced with N’Deye’s playful lyrics inviting the auditor to experience life “Afro style”.
The daughter of a Guinean diplomat and a Senegalese lawyer, N’Deye was long deprived of her passion for music in cultures in which only the “djeli”, Tradition’s “griots”, are allowed to sing.
After years of modeling in New York she finally decided to pursue her dream. She has since recorded and shared the stage with Guinean national treasure Sekou “Bembeya” Diabate, of the famed “Bembeya Jazz”, opened for Cesaria Evora and graced many stages from Douala to Paris.
